During the World Woman Davos Agenda held on on January, 18th, in Davos, Cintia Jaime, Executive Director of ES VICIS, attended the summit as part of a global conversation about gender equality, sustainability, and the power of women as agents of change.
Throughout the event, Cintia reflected on the importance of closing the digital divide to achieve true equality. “It is crucial to recognize that nearly 3 billion people in the world lack access to the internet. At ES VICIS, our goal is to ensure digital access for rural women to empower them economically and foster inclusion,” she shared in her reflections after the summit.
The event also featured powerful interventions from leading women such as:
- Natalia Olynec, Director of Sustainability at IMD, who emphasized: “Guess what… it’s not a technical or engineering problem; it’s a mindset and psychological challenge. Changing our way of thinking is crucial to foster collaboration across sectors and functions, making sustainability and inclusion integral to everyone’s work.”
- Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, who delivered a compelling message: “To drive change in women’s rights, active participation in politics is key.”
- Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Co-President of the Club of Rome, who shared powerful advice: “Don’t succumb to your inner critical and doubtful voice.”
- Dr. Sandy Chong, awarded for her work in equality and sustainability, who stood out for her warm and inspiring articulation of deep ideas: “Education has been my gateway to becoming an agent of change.”
